These terms summarize how online booking works. The full Services Agreement applies to every booking and is accepted when you pay the deposit.
Online booking
Online booking is available for residential moves. Each truck has two start times per day (8:00 AM and 3:00 PM). Your time is held for 30 minutes while you complete the payment.
Deposit
To reserve your date you pay a deposit equal to one hour of the selected truck and movers (no GST). For long-distance moves, the deposit is 10% of the quoted price. The deposit is credited to your final bill. If the payment is not completed, your time is released and our team may contact you to help you book.
Pricing
Moves are charged by the hour from the moment our crew arrives at your door, with a 2-hour minimum. After the first 2 hours, time is charged in 30-minute increments (for example, a 2 h 10 min move is charged as 2 h 30 min). There are no travel-time charges and no stair surcharges. Extra movers, packing materials and special items may be added to the final bill. GST applies to the final bill.
Changes and cancellations
- Reschedule: you can change the date, time, address or truck with at least 7 days' notice before your moving date, subject to availability.
- Less than 7 days: changes are not possible. The change is treated as a cancellation: the deposit is forfeited and a new booking is needed.
- Cancellation by you: the deposit is non-refundable and cannot be used as credit for a future move.
- Cancellation by us: we may cancel or reschedule at any time because of events beyond our control (force majeure), such as severe weather, road closures or vehicle breakdowns. In that case we refund your deposit in full, or move your booking to a new date if you prefer.
Damage
We are responsible for damage directly caused by our crew or equipment. We are not responsible for damage that was not caused by our team, to your belongings, the building or any other property. Please report any damage within 24 hours after the move. See sections 5, 6 and 8 of the Services Agreement.
Payment
The balance is due when the move is completed (credit card, debit card or Interac e-Transfer). Balances not paid within 30 days bear interest at 2% per month (26.82% per year).
