Services Agreement
Ready To Go Moving Services Inc. · Version 2026-10-20 · Booking terms · Privacy Policy
This Services Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between Ready To Go Moving Services Inc., a corporation organized under the laws of British Columbia, located at 2401 – 928 Richards Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 3C1 (“Company”), and the person or entity named in the booking (“Client”).
Recitals. The Company operates a moving service providing transportation, packing and logistics for residential and commercial relocations in Greater Vancouver (Lower Mainland), British Columbia, and Greater Calgary, Alberta. The Client wishes to engage the Company for such services, and the Company agrees to provide them under the terms and conditions of this Agreement. In consideration of the mutual promises contained herein, the parties agree as follows:
1. Description of services
Moving services. The Company provides moving services, including professional movers, transportation, and furniture disassembly and reassembly, adapted to the Client’s needs. The website may recommend a number of movers and a truck size based on the scale of the move (including through Scan My Move), but the final decision is at the Client’s discretion. Additional services, such as special item handling, are available upon consultation.
Transportation and equipment. Transportation within Greater Vancouver (Lower Mainland) and within Greater Calgary is provided without additional mileage or travel-time charges. The Company protects belongings with equipment such as moving blankets, plastic wrap and mattress protectors. The truck size and type are chosen by the Client; the Company’s role is advisory. All equipment and transportation methods follow industry standards for safety and efficiency.
Long-distance moves. Moves outside these areas may be booked online (where available, with a deposit of 10% of the quoted price) or by email, phone or WhatsApp. The Client is advised to provide photos or videos of their belongings to help determine the appropriate truck size.
2. Client responsibilities
Preparation and packing. The Client is responsible for ensuring that all personal items and the contents of furniture are properly packed and ready for transport, in sealed and labelled boxes, and that all drawers and compartments are emptied. The Company offers packing and unpacking services upon request, but initial preparation remains the Client’s responsibility. Inadequate preparation may lead to delays or additional charges.
Access and permissions. The Client is responsible for securing access at both the pickup and delivery locations, including elevator reservations and suitable parking for the moving truck, and for complying with local bylaws, building rules and permits. The Company is not liable for fines or penalties resulting from the Client’s failure to secure access or permissions. Delays or additional costs caused by inadequate access will be paid or reimbursed by the Client.
3. Payment and fees
Pricing and payment methods. The total cost of the moving service, including GST and any additional fees, will be communicated to the Client. The pricing structure, deposit, payment methods and late payment terms are set out on the Company’s website and in Schedule A of this Agreement.
Payment due date. Payment is due upon completion of the services. Late payments may bear interest as set out in Schedule A.
4. Scheduling and timeliness
Estimated timings. Start times and completion times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Unforeseen factors such as traffic, weather and other logistical challenges may affect timelines, and the Company is not liable for delays caused by such external factors. The Client is advised to plan with some flexibility.
Communication about delays. If a significant delay is anticipated, the Company will inform the Client as early as possible, with an updated estimated time and the reason for the delay.
5. Insurance
The Company maintains insurance coverage of up to $2,000,000, including commercial general liability and cargo coverage, for incidents that occur during the moving process (loading, transportation and unloading), subject to the terms, conditions, limits and deductibles of the policy. If the damage is attributed to the Company’s actions or negligence, the Company will cover the insurance deductible. If the damage results from factors outside the Company’s control or from the Client’s actions, the Client may be responsible for the deductible, as determined after an investigation of the incident.
6. Liability
Damage caused by the Company. The Company is responsible only for new damage directly caused by its crew or its equipment while performing the services (for example, if the movers damage a wall or a piece of furniture).
Damage not caused by the Company. The Company is not responsible for any damage, loss or injury that was not caused by its team, whether to the Client’s belongings, to the building, common areas, elevators, parking areas or any other property at the pickup or delivery location. This includes, without limitation, damage caused by the Client, by other people or third parties, by pre-existing conditions (such as faulty elevators or unstable structures), by items packed by the Client (including the contents of boxes and furniture), or by incorrect information provided by the Client.
Client participation. The Client is strongly advised not to take part in heavy lifting, handling hazardous materials or operating moving equipment. If the Client or people helping the Client take part in the move, the Company is not liable for damage or injury arising from that participation.
7. Cancellation and rescheduling
Cancellation by the Client. If the Client cancels, the deposit paid at the time of booking is non-refundable and cannot be used as credit for future services. The deposit secures the booking and compensates for the costs of planning and scheduling the move.
Rescheduling. The Client may reschedule the move (date, time, address or truck) by notifying the Company at least seven (7) days before the scheduled moving date. Rescheduling is subject to availability.
Less than seven days’ notice. With less than seven (7) days’ notice, rescheduling is not possible. The change is treated as a cancellation: the deposit is forfeited and the Client must make a new booking, with a new deposit.
Cancellation by the Company (force majeure). The Company may cancel or reschedule a move at any time because of events beyond its reasonable control, such as severe weather, road closures, accidents, vehicle breakdowns, illness or injury of the crew, or orders of public authorities. In that case, the Company will refund the deposit in full, or, if the Client prefers, move the booking to a new available date. The Company’s liability for such a cancellation is limited to the refund of the deposit.
8. Damage claims and reimbursement
Reporting. The Client must report any damage or loss within twenty-four (24) hours after the services are completed, with photos or a description. The Company provides a claim form online and on paper. Damage identified by the moving team before the move is reported to the Client and documented as pre-existing.
Assessment and reimbursement. The Company will assess the cause and extent of the damage. If a claim is validated and the item is repairable, the Company’s team will arrange the repair. If repair is not feasible, the Client will be asked to obtain up to three quotes for the Company to review and approve the cost of repair or replacement. The Company is not responsible for pre-existing damage unknown to the moving team.
9. Additional services and office hours
Additional services. The Company offers additional services such as packing and unpacking, disposal of unwanted items and special handling of delicate or bulky items. These should be requested in advance, ideally when booking. Their charges are communicated to the Client for approval beforehand.
Office hours. The office is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The Company endeavours to respond to messages outside these hours, but responses may be delayed.
10. Confidentiality and data protection
The Company handles personal information in compliance with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act, as applicable, and as described in its Privacy Policy. Client information is used only to deliver and improve the moving services and is not disclosed to third parties without the Client’s consent, except as required by law. The private contact details of drivers and movers are disclosed only in exceptional cases; requests should be made during office hours. Taking a photo of the team with the Client at the end of the job is optional, and any photo is shared on social media only with the Client’s consent.
11. Bookings and record-keeping
Online bookings. For bookings made on the Company’s website, the Client accepts this Agreement electronically by ticking the acceptance box before paying the deposit. The Company records the date, time and version of the Agreement accepted, and sends a booking confirmation by email.
Phone, email and WhatsApp bookings. For bookings initiated by phone, email or WhatsApp, the Company records the details of the move (dates, locations and specific requirements) and sends this Agreement to the Client for review and acceptance.
12. Compliance with regulations
The Company operates in compliance with the laws, regulations and bylaws applicable to moving services in British Columbia and Alberta.
13. Electronic acceptance
This Agreement may be accepted electronically, including by ticking an acceptance box or by digital signature. Electronic acceptance is legally binding, consistent with British Columbia’s Electronic Transactions Act and Alberta’s Electronic Transactions Act. By accepting, the Client confirms having had the opportunity to review these terms and voluntarily agrees to be bound by them.
14. Dispute resolution and governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia. The parties will first try to resolve any dispute through amicable negotiation and, if needed, mediation. If mediation fails, legal proceedings will be conducted in the courts of British Columbia.
15. Entire agreement and amendments
This Agreement, together with Schedule A and the details of the booking confirmation, constitutes the entire agreement between the Company and the Client and supersedes all prior agreements, understandings and discussions, oral or written. Amendments are valid only if made in writing and accepted by both parties.
